Island Peak (6189m) also known as Imja Tse Peak is beautifully situated between Ama Dablam and Lhotse Mountain.
During this Island Peak climbing, one has to hike up through a rock channel followed by a snow head wall to reach the summit of Island Peak. Though the hike is quiet difficult, you do not need any mountaineering abilities and experiences but requires some tolerance for variable weathers and some night stay in tents.

Island Peak Climbing Route
After your flight land at Lukla airpot, your first trekking will be to Phakding. Then you walk to Namche Bazar. There you accommodate for a day and can explore the highest trading centre of the world. It might be really fascinating to you to explore trade centre at such high altitude.
The trekking journey will be to Tengboche. It is named after Tengboche, Monastery which is the oldest monastery of this region.
After Tengboche you will trek to Dingboche. In Dingboche, you spend a day and then trek to Chuklung next day. From Chuklung, you finally trek to Island Peak Base Camp and camp at the base camp. Then the next day you head towards the peak and climb continues to the Island Peak summit.
On coming back, you will trek back to Chuklung and from there to Phortse village. Then we will follow the Khumbu Khola and go through Orsho and Shomare, Sherpa villages that is quite beautiful.
Then after, villages we trek back kto Khumbu and finally to Namche Bazar. You spend a night at Namche Bazar and return back to Lukla through the same route.
