Poon hill sunrise trek is the most amazing trekking trail by offering incredible sunrise view of Annapurna Himalayan range. This Ghorepani trek is suitable for those people who have limited time to visit glimpse of snow capped mountains, want to explore traditional lifestyle and unique culture of local people.

The key attractions of Poon hill are green vegetation, beautiful rhododendron forests, gorgeous landscapes, rare flora and fauna and magnificent mountain views which give lifetime experience to everyone.

This trek gives a unique chance to explore the Himalayan experience without trekking in the high altitudes. Poon hill sunrise trek offers magnificent views of the giant peaks like Mt. Machhapuchhre, Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Nilgiri, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna south, Lamjung Himal, Hiunchuli and many more.

This Sunrise trek begins from Nayapul, two hours scenic drive from Pokhara. From Nayapul the trail passes through patchwork valleys, forests and waterfalls.  Along the way you can explore traditional villages of Gurung & Magar people, beautiful rhododendron forests full of birds and deep sub tropical valleys, picturesque peak of Annapurna Himalayan range by dominating the skyline.

Day 01: Welcome to Nepal, Tribhuwan International Airport
We will meet you at Tribhuwan International airport, Kathmandu and transferred to the hotel, after your freshness briefing program for your trekking, overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Drive or fly to Pokhara
Early morning, after having breakfast fly or drive to beautiful lake city Pokhara which about 6 hours by bus and 25 minutes by scenic flight. This lake city Pokhara offers spectacular views Mt. Machhapuchure, Mt. Annapurna, Manaslu, Dhaulagiri etc.

Day 03: Pokhara drive to Nayapul and trekking to Tikhedhunga (1540m) 5-6 hours.
Drive to Nayapul and trekking to Tikhedhunga passing through the rivers, Villages, forest and paddy fields which takes about 5-6 hours.

Day 04: Tikhedhunga Trekking to Ghorepani (2840m) 5-6 hours.
Early morning after having breakfast, the trail ascends up to Ghorepani passes through the pine forest, oak and rhododendrons forest which is located at the altitude of 2874m.

Day 05: Hiking to Poon Hill and Trekking to Ghandruk (2610m) 7-8 hours.
Very early in the morning hike to Poon hill for the breathtaking sunrise view. Poon hill is located at the hill top from where you can see magnificent sunrise view over Himalayan peaks like Mt. Machhapuchhare , Mt. Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Mt. Annapurna I, Annapurna II , Annapurna South , Annapurna III, Annapurna IV , Lamjung Himal etc. Then we down to Ghorepani where we take breakfast and we continue to Ghandruk passing through the forests of oak, rhododendrons and fir.

Day 06: Ghandruk Trekking to Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara

Day 07: Drive or fly back to Kathmandu
After having breakfast at hotel, fly or drive back to Kathmandu which about 6 hours by bus and 25 minutes by scenic flight.

Day 08: Final Departure

Flights arrive at Kathmandu, from where internal connecting flights are possible. The following are some of the airlines that fly to Nepal; Nepal Airlines, Thai Airways, Turkish Airlines, Gulf Air, Qatar Air, Indian Airlines, Jet Airways, Air India, Austrian Airlines, Biman Bangladesh, Lufthansa, Air Arabia, Air China, Oman Air, Druk Air, GMG Airlines, Korean Air, Pakistan International Airlines, and Singapore Airlines fly into Kathmandu. Travel Insurance

Personal travel insurance is not included in the prices mentioned. But every effort is made to ensure the safety of all participants; it is condition of booking that you take out a personal travel insurance policy. To protect against unforeseen circumstances, it is visible to take a “Trip cancellation and medical insurance policy” before your arrival into Kathmandu. Medical coverage is especially mandatory for those who are trekking in high altitudes. It covers injury, death, lost baggage, medical treatment and expenses, and air ambulance or helicopter rescue services in case of emergency.

Passport and Visa

You need to have a valid passport having minimum of 6 months of validity from the return date. You can get Nepalese visa from the Nepalese consulate in your country or arrival in Kathmandu airport. Do not forget that you will also need two passport size photos to take Nepal visa. Do not require visa for Indian nationalities.
Visa Fees:
• US $ 25 or convertible foreign currency equivalent for 15 days.
• US $ 40 or convertible foreign currency equivalent for 30 days.
• US $ 100 or convertible foreign currency equivalent for 90 days.
Allowed only 150 days to stay in Nepal in a calendar year on a tourist visa.

Health and Fitness

All tour and treks in Nepal demanded a significant level of fitness, therefore you should check with your doctor concerning your health and fitness before you travel in Nepal. You have any pre existing medical condition or disability you might increase the risk of your requiring medical attention you need to inform to Dream Heaven Adventure. You should be aware of the risk of altitude sickness and frostbite, and allow yourself time to adjust to changes in altitude and temperature. This may hamper your ability to travel.
