This Phaplu Everest trek is a classic trek which follows in the footsteps of Hillary & Tenzing, and superb views of Mt. Everest.  Phaplu, the homeland of Sherpa people is unique settlements for the culture.

While trekking to this region, we will witness the different views of mountains such as Cho Oyu (8152m), Kwangde, Thamserku (6506m), Nuptse, Lhotse (8516m), Ama Dablam (6456m), Makalu (8463m) and summit of Everest. Explore the lifestyle of Sherpa people; chance to see the world heritage sites, variety of Himalayan floras and faunas, and an opportunity to explore the highest Buddhist monasteries are the main attractions of Phaplu Everest Base camp Trek.

This trek starts with 35 minutes scenic flight into the Phaplu airport; a small town in Solukhumbu district. Then the trekking through to Takshindo Gompa and descending from here you reach Manidingma. The trek to base camp is gently through to the Dudh Koshi River passing through agricultural farming land and small Sherpa and Rai settlements. During your trek you can visit Buddhist Monastery in ruined state pass through rhododendron and oak forest. This classic trek gives one of the best mountain views in the world.

Day 15: Trekking to Namche Bazaar (3440m); walking distance about 6 hours, overnight at Guesthouse/Lodges in Namche Bazaar.

Day 16: Trekking back to Lukla (2810m); walking distance about 5-6 hours, overnight at Guesthouse/Lodges in Lukla.

Day 17: Fly back to Kathmandu in the morning and transfer to hotel, in the evening join for cultural dinner show

Travel Insurance

Personal travel insurance is not included in the prices mentioned. But every effort is made to ensure the safety of all participants; it is condition of booking that you take out a personal travel insurance policy. To protect against unforeseen circumstances, it is visible to take a “Trip cancellation and medical insurance policy” before your arrival into Kathmandu. Medical coverage is especially mandatory for those who are trekking in high altitudes. It covers injury, death, lost baggage, medical treatment and expenses, and air ambulance or helicopter rescue services in case of emergency.

Passport and Visa

You need to have a valid passport having minimum of 6 months of validity from the return date. You can get Nepalese visa from the Nepalese consulate in your country or arrival in Kathmandu airport. Do not forget that you will also need two passport size photos to take Nepal visa. Do not require visa for Indian nationalities.
Visa Fees:
• US $ 25 or convertible foreign currency equivalent for 15 days.
• US $ 40 or convertible foreign currency equivalent for 30 days.
• US $ 100 or convertible foreign currency equivalent for 90 days.
Allowed only 150 days to stay in Nepal in a calendar year on a tourist visa.
