Mera Peak Climbing

Mera Peak (6476m) is considered as the “Highest Trekking Peak” in Nepal. Trekking in Mera Peak doesn’t require any excellent mountaineering experience but requires normal ice axle and crampon skills.

The breathtaking views of various beautiful mountains like Cho Oyu (8201m), Lhotse (8516m), Everest (8848m) and Makalu (8463m) are all pretty close to one another, and when it is clean you may even witness Kangchenjunga (8586m).

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
Our airport representative will receive you at Tribhuvan international Airport, Kathmandu. He will directly take you to the hotel. You can spend remaining day relaxing in the hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Trip Preparation / Kathmandu Sightseeing tour
We will take you to office of Dream Heaven Adventure. Meeting with our well trained and well experienced guides. You will be taught in detail about the trekking and you will be introduced with all the climbing equipments required during your trekking.
Also, we have a sightseeing tour around Kathmandu valley, overnight in hotel.
Day 3: Flight to Lukla and trek towards Paiya(Chutok) (2,730m): 40 mins flight, 5-6 hours trek
Breakfast. Departure to Tribhuvan International Airport for our flight to Lukla. The flight to Lukla is one of the astonishing flights that allow you to have close and breathtaking views of various sceneries and Himalayan ranges of Nepal. Lukla Airport is considered as one of the beautiful airports in the world situated in the lap of Himalayas. Our representative will receive you and will start to trek towards Paiya. Our trail is through a small jungle and on crossing small bridge of Handi khola we will reach a very beautiful Surke Village. We have to continue our walk until we reach Paiya. Overnight in Paiya.
Day 4: Paiya to Panggom (2,846m): 5-6 hours
Today we will walk towards Kari La Pass. We have descend down through Paiya and we need to follow a slippery path to reach Kari La. No matter the way is slippery, as you will be fascinated to see various Rhododendron and Bamboo forest around you. We will continue our trek until we reach Panggom. Overnight in Panggom.
Day 5: Panggom to Ningsow (2,863m): 4-5 hours
Early morning breakfast. After reaching Panggom La Pass, we have to ascend down and cross the Penseng Kharka Khola which takes us to Peeng Kaharka Khola. We will reach Ningsow village just after crossing Ningsow Khola. Overnight in Ningsow.
Day 06: Ningsow to Chhatra Khola (2,800m): 7-8 hours
Today we will be able to see the beautiful views of Mera Peak and Salpa after reaching Ramailo Danda. On The way to Ramailo Danda we have to first descend a bit from Ningsow and then ascend upwards through Makalu Barun National Park. Then we have to follow the Pasang Lamhu Trail to reach Chhatra Khola.Overnight in Chhatra Khola.
Day 07: Chhatra Khola to Kothe (3,691m): 6-7 hours
Early morning breakfast. Today our trail goes straight towards Tashing Ongma which has seasonal tea shops. We will continue our trek until reach Kothe. Overnight in Kothe.
Day 08: Kothe to Thaknak (4,358m): 3-4 hours
Breakfast. Short walk along the ridge of Hinku Khola. Lunch at Gondisung. A short walking to get Thankak, which is a summer graze area with prehistoric lodges and shops. Overnight in hotel.
Day 09: Thaknak to Khare (5,045m): 2-3 hours
Today we have walk towards Dig Kharka throgh the Dig Glaciers. We will be able to see the beautiful and breathtaking view of Charpate Himal from Dig Kharka.Now we have to climb through the moarines of Hinku Nup and Shar Glaciers to reach Khare, from where we can see the Meera Peak. Overnight at Khare.
Day 10: Khare: Acclimatization and pre–climb training
Today we will conduct a pre-climb training at Khare. All the trekking techniques, safety measures and ways of using and handling climbing gears such as the ice axe, climbing boots and crampons, harness, ascender, etc. If you are experienced and well trained mountaineer then it is not compulsory to take part in training session. Our main aim is to assist and guide the beginners who are willing to climb various peaks, considering the safety measures in mind. Overnight in Khare.
Day 11: Khare to Mera High Camp (5,780m): 6-7 hours
We have to follow a steep trail paved with boulders to reach Meera High Camp. Our trail is sometimes rockey and sometimes snowy as well and can be difficult and hazardous at any time. On the way we will be able to enjoy the excellent views of Mt. Everest, Makalu, Cho Oyu, the south face of Lhotse, Nuptse, Chamlang and Baruntse. Overnight at Meera High Camp.
Day 12: Mera High Camp to Summit (6,461m) and back to Khare (5045m): 8-9 hours
Today we will reach the summit of Meera Peak. It will be the most important and memorable part of your trekking as you will reach the summit. Today we have to wake up early at 2am and after having breakfast, we will set our journey towards peak. Definitely the early morning will be quiet cold, the trail will be quiet extraordinary and sometimes abnormal as well, but being able to reach the final step of summit will give you tremendous happiness, pleasure and lifetime memorable moment. From the summit, we will be able to have a breathtaking views of the mighty Himalayas including Mt. Everest (8,848m), Cho-Oyu (8,210m), Lhotse (8,516m), Makalu (8,463m), Kangchenjunga (8,586m), Nuptse (7,855m), Chamlang (7,319m), Baruntse (7 ,129m). From here we have to return towards the Khare. We will spent our night at Khare.
Day 13: Reserve Day for Contingency
Sometimes it is not only our will that takes us to the summit of the Meera Peak but also the favorable weather and health conditions are there to favor our will to reach the summit. So this is the day especially considered as contingency so that being unable to climb the summit on the targeted day can be compensated. This day won't be considered if no any barriers arise.
Day 14: Khare to Kothe (3600m): 4-5 hours
Today we will return back to the Kothe following the same path that we have used previously used. We will spent our night at Kothe.
Day 15: Kothe to Thuli Kharka (4,300 m): 5-6 hours
Early morning breakfast. We will set our journey towards Thuli Kharka. We have ascends and descends and cross several streams before reaching Thuli Kharaka. Our night to be spent at Thuli Kharka.
Day 16: Thuli Kharla to Lukla via Zatrwa La passes: 6-7 hours
Today we have to reach Lukla to return back to Kathmandu. Lukla is a beautiful valley surrounded by Cho Oyu, Kongde Peak, Numbur Himal, Kusum Khangru and other Himalayan peaks. We have to cross Zatrwa La Pass to reach this beautiful mountainous valley Lukla.
Day 17: Fly to Kathmandu, 30 minutes flight
Breakfast. Early morning flight to Kathmandu. Aerial views from aero plane will be astonishing as you will be able to view various scenic beauties, snowcapped mountains and other natural peaks. You will spend your night at hotel in Kathmandu. Farewell dinner from the Dream Heaven Adventure for successful accomplishment of your trekking.
Day 18: Final Departure
This is the last day of your stay in Nepal. Our airport representative will drop you up to the Tribhuvan International Airport.

Flights arrive at Kathmandu, from where internal connecting flights are possible. Travel Insurance

Personal travel insurance is not included in the prices mentioned. But every effort is made to ensure the safety of all participants; it is condition of booking that you take out a personal travel insurance policy. To protect against unforeseen circumstances, it is visible to take a “Trip cancellation and medical insurance policy” before your arrival into Kathmandu. Medical coverage is especially mandatory for those who are trekking in high altitudes. It covers injury, death, lost baggage, medical treatment and expenses, and air ambulance or helicopter rescue services in case of emergency.

Passport and Visa

You need to have a valid passport having minimum of 6 months of validity from the return date. You can get Nepalese visa from the Nepalese consulate in your country or arrival in Kathmandu airport. Do not forget that you will also need two passport size photos to take Nepal visa. Do not require visa for Indian nationalities.
Visa Fees:
• US $ 25 or convertible foreign currency equivalent for 15 days.
• US $ 40 or convertible foreign currency equivalent for 30 days.
• US $ 100 or convertible foreign currency equivalent for 90 days.
Allowed only 150 days to stay in Nepal in a calendar year on a tourist visa.

Health and Fitness

All tour and treks in Nepal demanded a significant level of fitness, therefore you should check with your doctor concerning your health and fitness before you travel in Nepal.
