Manaslu, world’s eight highest mountain (8163m) and look very impressive with its high summit. Manasalu circuit is unexplored treks in the remote of Nepal Himalaya. Manaslu trek is one of the adventures and wilderness trek located in Gorkha District with adjoining plateau of Tibet.

The Manaslu Trek is opened in 1992 by offering a combination of reach cultural heritage and a great bio-diversity. Manaslu Circuit Trek often the best in the eyes of people looking for remote and peaceful places. Manaslu Round Trek offers real scenic views of the mountains and rural cultural trails.

The majestic Himalayan ranges in this area consist of cultural diversities and natural scenery with high altitude romantic glacier lakes and fascinating flora and fauna. One can explore traditional villages with their flat-rooted timber houses and workshops in secluded Buddhist monasteries.

Trekking Around Manaslu begins from the Arughat of Gorkha district, western part of Nepal and follows upstream of the Budi Gandaki river. From Kathmandu we follows the Prithvi Highway until we reach Malekhu bazaar then cross the Trishuli River which takes about 2-3 hours. Then we continue about 17 km to Dhading Besi. From Dhading we leave for Arughat by sealed road. The road passes through Palpa, Jyamire, Gola Bhangyang, Amkhu Khola Bridge, and Budhi Gandaki River to reach Arught.

Then the trail continuous with lush green lower hills inhabited by Indo-Aryan Hindus, crossing the snow bound Larkya La pass (5213m). Larkya La Pass can attract everyone which marks the divide between Manaslu and the Marshyangdi River valley. Day 01: Arrive in Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu
Upon arrival in TIA, representative from Dream Heaven Adventure greets you and take you to your respective hotel. After refreshment & some rest visit DHA's office, in the evening join for welcome dinner. Overnight in Kathmandu

Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing tour and Trekking Preparation
After breakfast, we start sightseeing tour of mainly historical and religious places in Kathmandu. The beautiful tour includes sacred Pashupatinath Temple, Monket temple (Swoyambhu), Biggest BouddhaNath Stupa and Patan Durbar Square. Then drive back to your hotel. Today we make special trekking permit for your Manaslu circuit trekking, we need your original valid passport with Nepal visa and full working day. Overnight in Kathmandu

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Arughat (570m) via Dhading Besi, 6-7 hours drive
After breakfast drive from Kathmandu to Arughat; first drives to Dhading Besi around 3 hours by paved road then 4 hours drive from Dhading Besi to Arughat on rough road with scenic views, local villages, and rivers. Overnight in Arughat

Day 04: Arughat to Lhapu Besi (750m); walking distance 6 hours
After breakfast, our journey starts by crossing the Bridge of Budhi Gandaki River. Then the trail continues along with the bank of Budhi Gandaki through local villages, green hills, waterfalls and beautiful green forest. We then reach to Arket passes through beautiful forest with up and down in the rocky trail. We further walk all the way down and pass some rice fields and again up to get beautiful Gurung village in Lapu Besi. Overnight in Lhapu Besi

Day 05: Lhapu Besi to Tatopani; walking distance 5-6 hours
Today we continue up river, passing through Machha Khola (930m), and again up & down and cross river flat. Then we further walk through beautiful jungle and large Gurung villages with several up and down over a couple of ridges to get Tatopani. Tatopani means hot water, enjoy with the hot water. Overnight in Tatopani

Day 06: Tatopani to Jagat 1410m; walking distance 6 hours
Today, we climb over the edge; we again cross the Suspension bridge of Dudhi Gandaki River. The trail goes low at first and climb on rocky trail to reach Doban. We further cross the suspension bridge of Yaru Khola and climb up and up then cross the bank Budhi Gandaki to reach Jagat. Overnight in Jagat

Day 07: Jagat to Deng (1,804m); walking distance 6-7 hours
Today's journey begins by climbing up and down to Sridibas. Then the trails widen a bit as the trails continue up to Ghatta Khola. Upon crossing big suspension bridge at Philim, we continue our journey passing through the millet fields in Ekle Bhatti and bamboo forest to reach the beautiful Deng village. Overnight in Deng

Day 08: Deng to Namrung (2630m); walking distance 6-7 hours
After breakfast, we continue our walking crossing through Budhi gandaki River, then the trail passes through the forest and beautiful villages of Prok and several Gompas. We additional cross the river with narrow gorge and forest then steep up to Namrung. Overnight in Namrung

Day 09: Namrung to Samagaon (3530m); walking distance 6 hours
Today's trail goes climbing through the beautiful forest of rhododendron, oaks and firs and some Buddhist villages along the way to reach Sama Gaon. This area is inclined by the Tibetan culture; you may explore several monasteries, Chortens and Mani walls. Samagaon is very large cultural village, offers beautiful views of Mount Manaslu and others.

Day 10: Rest Day in SamaGaon
Today we spend at Samagaon for our acclimatization and rest as well. This village is most beautiful and very rich in the culture and tradition. Explore the Mani Stones, Chortens, and many monasteries with the amazing views. Short trip to Pungyen Gompa, old Gompa; enjoy the short trip with beautiful views of Manaslu glacier, ice fall. Overnight in Samagaon

Day 11: SamaGaon to Samdo (3690m); walking distance 4-5 hours
We trek uphill to the Samdo through the wilderness path. First the trail heads to Manaslu Base Camp and then passes through some Mani walls and cross Budhi Gandaki then steeply up to Samdo. Samdo is exceptional place for amazing views of Mount Manaslu, Nagdi, Simnang Himal and numerous majestic peaks.

Day 12: Samdo to Dharmashala/Larkya Phedi (4480m); walking distance 4-5 hours
From Samdo, the trail descends with many fields and large Mani wall with the rocky trail all the way. We further cross the east bank of Budhi Gandaki River to reach the valley of Sumdu. Then we continue through the valley Salka and climbs up to reach Dharmasala or Larkey Phedi. Overnight in Dharmashala

Day 13: Dharmashala - Lharkey Pass (5213m) to Bimthang (3590m); walking distance 7-8 hours
Get ready to cross the Larkya La Pass, the most amazing and challenging pass ever. Today's trail become rather deadly as it climbs on several rocky trails and snowy edges. The views from Larkya La are breathtaking and unforgettable from both sides. We can see the views of Cheo Himal, Himlung Himal, Annapurna II and so on. It will take about eight hours to reach Bimtang from Dharmashala. Bimtang is beautiful valley with its several Mani walls and isolated houses.

Day 14: Bimthang to Tilje (2300m); walking distance 5-6 hours
Today's trail goes crossing the wooden bridge of Dudh Khola. The day walk goes through beautiful forest of rhododendron and follows trail with narrow valley to reach Karche valley 2788m. Then we continue to the Tilje passing through fields and Gho village. Overnight in Tilje

Day 15: Tilje to Jagat/Syage( 1330m); walking distance 6 hours
After breakfast, we continue our journey over small ridge of the snow paved trail through tiny village and beautiful forests. Then we further walk to Dharapani, passes through the village of Thonje. Then we continue through Karte village and the Bridge of Marsyangdi River to reach Jagat. Overnight in Jagat/Syage. 

Day 16: Drive back to Kathmandu, 7-8 hours drive 
There is road now on the trail from Jagat/Syage, so we take a local jeep or bus to Besi Sahar. Then take tourist bus from Besi Sahar to Kathmandu. Or we can stay in Besi Sahar today and back to Kathmandu next morning.

Day 17: Final Departure
A representative from DHA will take you to the Tribhuvan International Airport as per your flight schedule. Hope you had lovely time that you spent with us. Have a nice time!!

How to Get Nepal

Flights arrive at Kathmandu, from where internal connecting flights are possible. The following are some of the airlines that fly to Nepal, but from Europe or North America all involve at least one change: Nepal Airlines, Thai Airways, Gulf Air, Qatar Air, Indian Airlines, Jet Airways, Air India, Austrian Airlines, Biman Bangladesh, Lufthansa, Air Arabia, Air China, Air Arabia, Druk Air, GMG Airlines, Korean Air, Pakistan International Airlines, and Singapore Airlines fly into Kathmandu. It is also possible to travel overland from India or China. You can check with your local travel agent for competitive airfares or please contact us.

Travel Insurance

Personal travel insurance is not included in the prices mentioned. But every effort is made to ensure the safety of all participants; it is condition of booking that you take out a personal travel insurance policy. To protect against unforeseen circumstances, it is visible to take a “Trip cancellation and medical insurance policy” before your arrival into Kathmandu. Medical coverage is especially mandatory for those who are trekking in high altitudes. It covers injury, death, lost baggage, medical treatment and expenses, and air ambulance or helicopter rescue services in case of emergency.

Passport and Visa

You need to have a valid passport having minimum of 6 months of validity from the return date. You can get Nepalese visa from the Nepalese consulate in your country or arrival in Kathmandu airport. Do not forget that you will also need two passport size photos to take Nepal visa. Do not require visa for Indian nationalities.
Visa Fees:
• US $ 25 or convertible foreign currency equivalent for 15 days.
• US $ 40 or convertible foreign currency equivalent for 30 days.
• US $ 100 or convertible foreign currency equivalent for 90 days.
Allowed only 150 days to stay in Nepal in a calendar year on a tourist visa.

Health and Fitness

All tour and treks in Nepal demanded a significant level of fitness, therefore you should check with your doctor concerning your health and fitness before you travel in Nepal. You have any pre existing medical condition or disability you might increase the risk of your requiring medical attention you need to inform to Dream Heaven Adventure. You should be aware of the risk of altitude sickness and frostbite, and allow yourself time to adjust to changes in altitude and temperature. This may hamper your ability to travel.

Trekking Permit

  • Permits are issued for one week plus the number of days requested per persons. Currently for this Manaslu circuit trek one week will cost US$ 70 (Sept-Nov) or US$ 50 (all other period) In addition each day is charged at US$ 10 per persons per day.
  • You do require to pay entry permit fee for Annapurna and Manaslu conservation area. Entry cost about 25 US$ per persons for Annapurna Conservation Area and same for Manaslu.
  • Manaslu Circuit trek should be organized government registered trekking agency and minimum 2 persons require to do this trek. The entry check point of this trek is Jagat.
