Langtang Valley Trekking

Langtang Valley Trekking is most rewarding and short trekking destination in Nepal Himalaya. It is site of some spectacular alpine scenery as well as being a great place to meet unique people. This Langtang Valley lies closer to Kathmandu than other trekking regions with magnificent views of glaciers, breathtaking Himalaya vista, Himalayan holy lakes, varieties of rare flora and fauna and ancient culture in Himalayas.

Along our Langtang trekking, the trail goes through the pine, juniper, rhododendron, bamboo and others rare vegetation forest, swift mountain streams, rugged rock and snow- capped peaks, grassy downs and meadows strewn with daisies and wild premolars.

Monkeys, musk deer, Pika, (Lophophorus) the national bird of Nepal and many other animals can be seen in the National park. This trip further offers you excellent view of Langtang Lirung (7246m) at north, Gang Chhenpo (6388m) at south and Dorje Lhakpa (6990m) at east. The 10 days Langtang Valley Trekking is a moderate trek which can be arranged with great pleasures and more relax able for your lifetime experience.

Starting point of this trek is Syabru Bensi, about 7-8 hours drive from Kathmandu. We begin the walk from Syabrubesi and upward to Lama Hotel and Langtang village until we arrive at the famous Kanyanjing Gompa. We will trek back to Lama Hotel after visit the Kyangjin Gompa same trail back to Syabru Bensi then we drive back to Kathmandu.

Day 01: Welcome to Nepal, Tribhuwan International Airport
We will meet you at Tribhuwan International airport, Kathmandu and transferred to the hotel, after your freshness briefing program for your trekking, overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Sightseeing tour at Kathmandu Valley
After your breakfast we will start a guided tour to the most historical and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu valley, including Pashupatinath Temple, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambunath (Monkey Temple) and Buddha Nath, one of the large Stupas in the world, overnight at hotel.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi(1610m) 6-7 hours by Bus.
Early morning after having breakfast, we drive to north range of Kathmandu through ridgeline vistas to reach Syabru Besi passing through Dhunche which takes about 7 hours. Relish with the spectacular views of the Himalayas through the terraced fields and rustic villages.

Day 04: Trekking to Lama Hotel (2480m) 5-6 hours
Today we begin our trail following the Bhote koshi River crossing suspension bridge and ascend through the dense forests.

Day 05: Trekking to Thangshyap 5 hours
Today the trail goes following the raging Langtang stream and that we bit by bit ascent to Ghoda Tabela (3030m) through the Bamboo and Oak forest. Then the path continues to climb gently and therefore the natural depression widens, passing a couple of temporary settlements used by herders who bring their livestock to graze within the high pastures throughout the summer months. Langtang village is that the headquarters for Langtang National park and has flat-roofed Tibetan vogue homes and cultivated lands yielding buckwheat. But this village is totally damage by earthquake, so we continue our day trip to Thangshyap, overnight in Thangshyap.

Day 06: Trekking to Kyangjin Gompa (3900 m) 3-4 hours
After having breakfast, we may leave for lovely Kyanjing Gompa which takes about 3 hours hiking. Kyanjin Gompa is that the destination locates at altitude of 3817m; from here you may have superb views of Mt Ganchempo, Langsisha Ri and Mt. Langtang Lirung. Within the late afternoon, we'll visit the Yak Cheese factory and Kyanjing Monastery in Kyanjing.

Day 07: Trekking to Chorkari Ri (4900m) and back to Lama Hotel 6-7 hours
Early morning trekking to Tserku Ri for spectacular sunrise views of snowy capped mountains and Langtang natural depression. After taking breakfast we leave for Lama Hotel, our trail goes all the means downhill through forest following the stream which takes about 4- 5 hours.

Day 08: Trekking to Syabrubensi (1610m) 5 hours
Today we walk right down to Lama Hotel through shrub forest and beside Bhote koshi watercourse. Overnight Hotel at Syabrubesi.

Day 09: Drive back to Katmandu
After having breakfast, we catch a bus to line for Kathmandu, which takes about 7 hours to reach Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel.

Day 10: Transfer to Tribhuwan international airport for your final departure.

How to Get Nepal

Flights arrive at Kathmandu, from where internal connecting flights are possible. The following are some of the airlines that fly to Nepal, but from Europe or North America all involve at least one change: Nepal Airlines, Thai Airways, Gulf Air, Qatar Air, Indian Airlines, Jet Airways, Air India, Austrian Airlines, Biman Bangladesh, Lufthansa, Air Arabia, Air China, Air Arabia, Druk Air, GMG Airlines, Korean Air, Pakistan International Airlines, and Singapore Airlines fly into Kathmandu. Travel Insurance

Personal travel insurance is not included in the prices mentioned. But every effort is made to ensure the safety of all participants; it is condition of booking that you take out a personal travel insurance policy. To protect against unforeseen circumstances, it is visible to take a “Trip cancellation and medical insurance policy” before your arrival into Kathmandu. Medical coverage is especially mandatory for those who are trekking in high altitudes. It covers injury, death, lost baggage, medical treatment and expenses, and air ambulance or helicopter rescue services in case of emergency.

Passport and Visa

You need to have a valid passport having minimum of 6 months of validity from the return date. You can get Nepalese visa from the Nepalese consulate in your country or arrival in Kathmandu airport. Do not forget that you will also need two passport size photos to take Nepal visa. Do not require visa for Indian nationalities.
Visa Fees:
• US $ 25 or convertible foreign currency equivalent for 15 days.
• US $ 40 or convertible foreign currency equivalent for 30 days.
• US $ 100 or convertible foreign currency equivalent for 90 days.
Allowed only 150 days to stay in Nepal in a calendar year on a tourist visa.

Health and Fitness

All tour and treks in Nepal demanded a significant level of fitness, therefore you should check with your doctor concerning your health and fitness before you travel in Nepal.
