Jumla Rara Lake Trek

Jumla Rara Lake Trek is one of the most rewarding and fascinating journey into the jumla region and the beautiful rara lake (the biggest lake of Nepal). This trek leads through remote country side towards the Tibetan border.

There is rara national park, which is the smallest national park in Nepal with blue pine, black juniper, and west Himalayan spruce, oak and Himalayan cypress. One can see wildlife, Ghoral, Himalayan black bear, musk dear, leopards and rare red panda in the rara national park. Moreover, one can see many spices of birds in the national park.

This beautiful Rara lake trek is relatively unexplored and provides the glimpse of remote Nepali village cultures and their unique way of life style. Since, few tourists and native visits the Rara Lake, there are no tourist facilities either along the trekking route or inside the park, so camping is only option for the Rara lake trek.
