Jomsom Muktinath Trek

Jomsom Muktinath Trekking is most popular trek trail of Annapurna region, follows the Kali Gandaki Valley between the soaring peak of Annapurna & Dhaulagiri. It combines with beautiful village known as Kagbeni. The trail is situated at the deep valleys and high mountains encircling the giant Annapurna Himalaya embrace a wide range of peoples and terrain, and dry landscape resembling the Tibetan Plateau.

The trek allows spectacular views of the mountains, and the route actually crosses to the main Himalayan range for some unusual views of the northern flanks. The trail has its own distinct feature and uniqueness, which offers dramatic views of seventh and tenth highest peak Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, which are the most beautiful mountains in the world.

Day 01: Welcome to Nepal, Tribhuwan International Airport
We will meet you at Tribhuwan International airport, Kathmandu and transferred to the hotel, after your freshness briefing program for your trekking, overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Sightseeing tour at Kathmandu Valley

After your breakfast we will start a guided tour to the most historical and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu valley, including Pashupatinath Temple, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambunath (Monkey Temple) and Buddha Nath, one of the large Stupas in the world, overnight at hotel.

Day 03: Flight or drive to Pokhara

Today we leave to Pokhara, which takes 30 minutes by flight and 6-7 hours by bus. Today you will be free in Pokhara you can visit yourself. Pokhara is beautiful lake city which offers panoramic views of Mt. Machapuchre, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt Annapurna and Mt. Manaslu.

Day 04:
Drive to NayaPul and trekking to Tirkhe Dhunga (1577m) 5-6 hours
Early morning after breakfast at Pokhara hotel, there will be time for starting the after 1.5 hours driving to NayaPul. We have to go by Bhurungdi khola and climb through sub tropical valley forests. We crossed modi khola by suspension bridge to go the beautiful village of Tikhedhuga.

Day 05:
Trekking to Ghorepani (2750m) 6-7 hours
Early morning after breakfast, the trail ascends up from Tikhedhunga by crosses the Bhurungdi khola and climbs all the way up to Ghorepani up to ulleri village. In Nepali Ghorepani means "horse-water". It is an interesting place with small shops and stalls for selling local products and crafts. Weather is quite chilly especially in the evening.

Day 06:
Hiking to Poon Hill and Trekking to Tatopani ((1190m) 6 hours
Early morning, we start hike up to Poon hill (3210mtr).This Vantage Poon hill offers magnificent Sunrise views of Dhaulagiri (8167m), Nilgiri (6940m) , Annapurna (7215m), Machapuchre (6997m), Manaslu (8163m), Annapurna(7993m) and other several peaks . This sunrise view will be unforgettable experience in your lifetime .After spending 1hour at Poon hill we return back to Ghorepani. After taking breakfast we leave for Tadapani drop down steeply to Sikhs a large village and further descend to Ghar khola village. We have to cross a suspension bridge that climbs up at Tatopani. Tatopani means "Hot water" as there is hot spring. There have medicinal values as well. The hot springs is popular among the trekkers to sooth their tired leg muscles.

Day 07:
Trekking to Ghasa (2110m) 5-6 hours
Today we have to go by the kali Ghandaki River that flows under the deep gorge by 2200m in both two 800m mountain tops are only 38km apart following along Dana Rupse chhahara (beautiful water fall) and kopchepani. Then we ascend to Thakali village Ghasa. Ghasa is supposed to be paradise for the bird watchers.

Day 08:
Trekking to Marpha (2680m) 4-5hours
A steep climb through forest takes you to late khola then reach to Late and we continue to the larjung village. Then we have to cross trail through Tukche at 2590m and apple farm which provides apple and vegetables for the whole region until you reach to Marpha village.

Day 09: Trekking to Kagbeni (2810) 5 hours

We have to cross Pauga Khola to reach Ekle Bhatti meaning lonely pub. From Jomsom it is very windy in the afternoon and the trek continues on the gradual path on the kali Ghandaki river bed for about 3hrs and finally reaching at Ekley bhatti village. We stop here for hour and then easy walk takes us to Kagbeni that lies at the bank of two rivers.

Day 10: Trekking to Muktinath (3710m) 5-6 hours

We have to show our special permit there and move up from the bank of Kaligandaki River from kagbeni the path climbs steeply to re-join the direct trail leading to khingar at 3200m. A further climb reaches us to Muktinath.

Day 11:
Muktinath to Jomsom (2715m) 5-6 hours
In morning we visit the Muktinath temple of the lord Vishnu. There are water spouts channeled for the stream running above the temple. From Muktinath we trek back to Jomsom.

Day 12:
Fly Jomsom to Pokhara
In the morning 30 minutes spactular flight to Pokhara between gorge of the two huge Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range. Pokhara is really pretty, located at the foothills of the Himalayas. Today you will be free at Pokhara, where you can visit around lakeside yourself.

Day 13: Drive or fly back to Kathmandu

Today we leave Pokhara to Kathmandu, which takes 30 minutes by flight and 6-7 hours by bus. Overnight at Kathmandu hotel

Day 14:
Transfer to Tribhuwan international airport for your final departure

Travel Insurance

Personal travel insurance is not included in the prices mentioned. But every effort is made to ensure the safety of all participants; it is condition of booking that you take out a personal travel insurance policy. To protect against unforeseen circumstances, it is visible to take a “Trip cancellation and medical insurance policy” before your arrival into Kathmandu. Medical coverage is especially mandatory for those who are trekking in high altitudes. It covers injury, death, lost baggage, medical treatment and expenses, and air ambulance or helicopter rescue services in case of emergency.

Passport and Visa

You need to have a valid passport having minimum of 6 months of validity from the return date. You can get Nepalese visa from the Nepalese consulate in your country or arrival in Kathmandu airport. Do not forget that you will also need two passport size photos to take Nepal visa. Do not require visa for Indian nationalities.
Visa Fees:
