Jiri Gokyo Lake Trek

Jiri Gokyo Lake Trek is one of the conventional trails for those trekkers who are trekking in this Everest region. From Jiri, we follow spectacular routes through Solukhumbu area following the heart of fine Sherpa villages, each village having something new to offer.

It offers an ample chance to explore beautiful forest, farming country sides and several mountains situated at high elevation on the way to Phakding. The first part of the trek is not only a hard slog, but it is also pretty spares in the breathtaking views.

Jiri to Gokyo Lake trek cuts across the valley and starts in speaking Hindu lowlands and ends in the Tibetan Buddhist highlands. This trekking explores around the breathtaking Gokyo valley which is located adjacent of the Khumbu. This is breathtaking walking trip in Everest region.

Trekkers require a good walking experience and good physical health condition to do this trip. The trek is very interesting walking with its panoramic views Mt. Everest (8848m), Cho oyu (8152m), Lhotse (8516m), Makalu (8463m), and Ama Dablam (6456m), through the famous Sherpa village of Namche bazaar, tengboche Buddhist monastery, khunde Khumjung, etc.

Travel Insurance

Personal travel insurance is not included in the prices mentioned. But every effort is made to ensure the safety of all participants; it is condition of booking that you take out a personal travel insurance policy. To protect against unforeseen circumstances, it is visible to take a “Trip cancellation and medical insurance policy” before your arrival into Kathmandu. Medical coverage is especially mandatory for those who are trekking in high altitudes. It covers injury, death, lost baggage, medical treatment and expenses, and air ambulance or helicopter rescue services in case of emergency.

Passport and Visa

You need to have a valid passport having minimum of 6 months of validity from the return date. You can get Nepalese visa from the Nepalese consulate in your country or arrival in Kathmandu airport. Do not forget that you will also need two passport size photos to take Nepal visa. Do not require visa for Indian nationalities.
Visa Fees:
• US $ 25 or convertible foreign currency equivalent for 15 days.
• US $ 40 or convertible foreign currency equivalent for 30 days.
• US $ 100 or convertible foreign currency equivalent for 90 days.
Allowed only 150 days to stay in Nepal in a calendar year on a tourist visa.

Health and Fitness

All tour and treks in Nepal demanded a significant level of fitness, therefore you should check with your doctor concerning your health and fitness before you travel in Nepal.
