Jiri Gokyo Chola Pass Trek

Jiri Gokyo Chola Pass trek leads through understandably one of the most popular and spectacular destinations for walkers and it offers some of the most fascinating and enjoyable trekking. Everest trekking is not only famous for the world’s highest mountain but also for its friendly Sherpa people, picturesque villages, great variety of cultures and traditions, colorful festivals and monasteries.

Anyone can enjoy the breathtaking view of Mt. Everest along with Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Nuptse, Pumari, Thamserku, Amadablam during this trekking. This trek offers the grand travel of the famous Khumbu valley, strenuous trek leading to Gokyo Lake and  the Cho La ( 5430m) making a circuit of Tawache (6367m) and Cholatse (6440m). 

Jiri Gokyo Chola pass Trekking is one of the frequently organized trekking routes in the Himalayas. After six hours scenic drive from Kathmandu we reach to Jiri, then we follow spectacular route via Solukhumbu area through the heart of fine Sherpa villages, each village having something new to offer. Trekking Jiri to Gokyo Lake, Crossing the Chola Pass and Everest Base camp offers you very close views of silver mountains in front of you which including the highest peak of the world Mount Everest.

Travel Insurance

Personal travel insurance is not included in the prices mentioned. But every effort is made to ensure the safety of all participants; it is condition of booking that you take out a personal travel insurance policy. To protect against unforeseen circumstances, it is visible to take a “Trip cancellation and medical insurance policy” before your arrival into Kathmandu. Medical coverage is especially mandatory for those who are trekking in high altitudes. It covers injury, death, lost baggage, medical treatment and expenses, and air ambulance or helicopter rescue services in case of emergency.

Passport and Visa

You need to have a valid passport having minimum of 6 months of validity from the return date. You can get Nepalese visa from the Nepalese consulate in your country or arrival in Kathmandu airport. Do not forget that you will also need two passport size photos to take Nepal visa. Do not require visa for Indian nationalities.
Visa Fees:
• US $ 25 or convertible foreign currency equivalent for 15 days.
• US $ 40 or convertible foreign currency equivalent for 30 days.
• US $ 100 or convertible foreign currency equivalent for 90 days.
Allowed only 150 days to stay in Nepal in a calendar year on a tourist visa.

Health and Fitness

All tour and treks in Nepal demanded a significant level of fitness, therefore you should check with your doctor concerning your health and fitness before you travel in Nepal.
