Island Peak (6189m) also known as Imja Tse Peak is beautifully situated between Ama Dablam and Lhotse Mountain. This is one of the best destinations for ice peak climbing in Nepal. On reaching the summit of Island Peak, roll out with a magnificent glaciers and astonishing views of Kanchenjunga, Makalu, Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and Manasalu.

One has to hike up through a rock channel followed by a snow headwall to reach the summit of Island Peak. Though the hike is quiet difficult, you do not need any mountaineering abilities and experiences but requires some tolerance for variable weathers and some night stay in tents.

Keeping in eyes the incredible sights of those glaciers and descending back to the main Everest route will definitely make you feel blessed with such a lifetime opportunity of being closer with the glaciers and beautiful mountains.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
Our representative will be at Tribhuvan International Airport to receive you. He will take you to the respective hotel. Remaining time will be spent taking rest.

Day 2: Trip Preparation / Kathmandu Sightseeing tour
We will take you to office of Dream Heaven Adventure. Meeting with our well trained and well experienced guides. You will be taught in detail about the trekking and you will be introduced with all the climbing equipments required during your trekking.
Also, we have a sightseeing tour around Kathmandu valley, overnight in hotel.

Day 3: Fly to Lukla (2,800m/9,184ft) then trek to Phakding (2640m): walking distance 3-4 hours.
Breakfast. Departure to Tribhuvan International Airport for our flight to Lukla. The flight to Lukla is one of the astonishing flights that allow you to have close and breathtaking views of various sceneries and Himalayan ranges of Nepal. Lukla Airport is considered as one of the beautiful airports in the world situated in the lap of Himalayas. Our representative will receive you and guide you to trek along the beautiful village to reach Phakding. Acclimatization with a short walk. Visit to nearby villages, temples and monasteries or rest as per your interest. Overnight in Phakding.

Day 4: Phakding to Namche Bazar (3,440m): walking distance 5-6 hours.
Breakfast.Walk along the side of Dudh Koshi River through the pine forest. We have to walk until we reach Namche Bazar and Sagarmatha National Park. Namche Bazar is considered as the gateway of this region and on the way to Namche Bazar you will be fascinated with the pine, fur and rhododendron forests and some beautiful villages and some where you have to cross some suspension bridges. Your walk will be full of recreations.

Day 5: Acclimatization Day @ Namche Bazar
This is the day typically set for acclimatization so that trekkers will be able to accomplish their trekking in a convenient way. During acclimatization, you are suggested not to stay idle and take rest but to take short and light walk around the villages. There are several Sherpa Villages depicting typical Sherpa culture, traditions and customs. You can visit nearby monasteries and museums or you can even walk and visit for about 5-6 hours if interested. Overnight in Namche Bazar.

Day 6: Namche Bazar to Tengboche (3,870m): walking distance 5-6 hours
Breakfast. Walk towards upto Tengboche. Tengboche is a village with beautiful and famous monasteries in Everest region. Our trail sometimes asends and sometomes desends through various beautiful woods and various beautiful natural beauties. Overnight in Tengboche.

Day 7: Tengboche to Pereiche (4,200m): walking distance 4-5 hours
We descend for about half an hour through a forest before crossing a river. Next, we trek uphill and notice that as we climb higher, the landscape becomes drier. We walk past a traditional Sherpa village of Pangboche before reaching Pheriche, a beautiful village. On our way to Pereiche, we can see a small helipad used by helicopters specially designed to help and rescue the trekkers in emergency cases.

Day 8: Periche to Lobuche(4,930m): walking distance 5-6 hour
Breakfast. Walk upto Dugla and then ascent towards the Khumbu Glaciers. On the way you will see many prayers flags used as the memory of senior Everest summiteers, who climbed Everest for 10 times. The trai; will takes us to the Khumbu region. On the way we can see different snowcapped mountain ranges. Overnight at Lobuche.

Day 9: Lobuche trek to Everest Base Camp (5364m) and back to Gorak Shep (5170m): walking distance 5-6 hours
Gorak Shep is a lake situated in Everest region at an altitude of 5170 m/16,961ft. The trail goes from Everest base camp and continues through rocky dunes, moraine and streams. Everest base camp will be full of various tents of mountaineers heading towards the summit of the world’s tallest mountain Mt. Everest. Overnight at Gorak Shep.

Day 10: Ghorak Shep hike up to Kala Patthar (5545m) and trek back to Lobuche (4940m): walking distance 7-8 hours
Kala Patthar is notable landmark situated in Everest Region. Kala means Black and Patthar means Stone. Kala patthar has the amazing and great views of Everest and other breathtaking mountains. Today our trek will continue till we reach kala patthar. For your information, the cabinet meeting of Nepal Government was once held in Kala Patthar keeping in view the tourism importance of this region. Overnight in Lobuche.

Day 11: Lobuche to Kongma La (5,535m) to Chhukung (4,730m): walking distance 6-7 hours
Kongma La Base camp is situated at an altitude of 5535m. The ascending trail toward Kongma La is quiet difficult but adventurous. Then the trail descends down to the Chukkung whch is situated at an altitude of 4730m.Overnighty at Chukkung.

Day 12: Chukkung to Island Peak Base Camp(5,200m): walking distance 3-4 hours.
This is the ultimate climb of our trek. We have to climb through the fairly steep trail and all our equipments need to be ready condition at this part of our climb. Sometimes our trail goes along the stream side as well. Snake like route leads us up to the island Peak. Overnight at Island Peak Base Camp.

Day 13: Pre-climb training, Overnight at Base Camp
Today we will conduct a pre-climb training at Island Peak Base Camp. All the trekking techniques, safety measures and ways of using and handling climbing gears such as the ice axe, climbing boots and crampons, harness, ascender, etc. If you are experienced and well trained mountaineer then it is not compulsory to take part in training session. Our main aim is to assist and guide the beginners who are willing to climb various peaks, considering the safety measures in mind.

Day 14: Island Base Camp to Island Summit and back to Base Camp (5,600m): walking distance 8-10 hours.
Our trek starts very early at around 12 to 1 am. Breakfast. We need to set our journey this much early so that we will be able to reach the summit of the Island Peak before the afternoon as strong wind blows at that time. Otherwise it will be much difficult to reach the summit. This part of trekking is quiet difficult and requires some mountaineering skills that we have already trained and guide you. It is always a wonderful feeling being able to accomplish the journey and being at the top of Island peak.

Day 15: Island Peak Base Camp to Pangboche (3,985m) 5-6 hours
Today we have to return back from the summit. The walk will be easier and familiar ascending down to the Pangboche. Passing through beautiful Sherpa villages will help you in learning and exploring the typical Sherpa culture, tradition and their life style. We can also take a different trail to visit the Gompa in Upper Pangboche, which is believed to be the oldest in the Khumbu region or take the regular trail to reach Pangboche

Day 16: Pangboche to Namche Bazaar (3,440m): 4-5 hours
This is the continuation of vour return journey that has to cross Imja Khola and passing through various beautiful and small forests. We will encounter various monastries. Overnight in Namche.

Day 17: Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,800m): 6-7 hours
Today we have to descend down from Namche Bazar @ 3440m until we reach Lukla at an altitude of 2880m. Overnight at hotel in Lukla.

Day 18: Flight back to Kathmandu
Breakfast. Early morning flight to Kathmandu. Aerial views from aero plane will be astonishing as you will be able to view various scenic beauties, snowcapped mountains and other natural peaks. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu. Farewell dinner from the Dream Heaven Adventure for successful accomplishment of your trekking.

Day 19: Final Departure
This is the last day of your stay in Nepal. Our airport representative will drop you up to the Tribhuvan International Airport.

Travel Insurance

Personal travel insurance is not included in the prices mentioned. But every effort is made to ensure the safety of all participants; it is condition of booking that you take out a personal travel insurance policy. To protect against unforeseen circumstances, it is visible to take a “Trip cancellation and medical insurance policy” before your arrival into Kathmandu. Medical coverage is especially mandatory for those who are trekking in high altitudes. It covers injury, death, lost baggage, medical treatment and expenses, and air ambulance or helicopter rescue services in case of emergency.

Passport and Visa

You need to have a valid passport having minimum of 6 months of validity from the return date. You can get Nepalese visa from the Nepalese consulate in your country or arrival in Kathmandu airport. Do not forget that you will also need two passport size photos to take Nepal visa. Do not require visa for Indian nationalities.
Visa Fees:
• US $ 25 or convertible foreign currency equivalent for 15 days.
• US $ 40 or convertible foreign currency equivalent for 30 days.
• US $ 100 or convertible foreign currency equivalent for 90 days.
Allowed only 150 days to stay in Nepal in a calendar year on a tourist visa.
