Everest Gokyo Lake Trek

The Gokyo Valley, perhaps the most spectacular valley in Everest trekking region. The trail to Gokyo Lake has a network of small lodges which have recently seen big improvements in food and accommodation facilities.

The main highlight of the trips are sensational Ngozumpa Glacier, one of the largest Glacier in the Khumbu, the beautiful lake at Gokyo, and the side trek to the top of Gokyo Kang (5360m) from where most spectacular views of Mount Cho-Oyu (8152m), Makalu (8475m), Lhotse (8511m) and of course, Mt. Everest (8848m). We trek at a steady place allowing ample time for acclimatization and plenty of opportunity to enjoy the renowned Sherpa Hospitality.

Then the trek to Gokyo lake is a gradual ascent up the valley passing through patches of birch and rhododendron forest where the elusive musk deer can sometimes be seen. The mountain views are impressive as we head through small yak grazing settlements to the Gokyo lakes. Everest Gokyo lake trek is relatively most beautiful and challenge than other trek in Khumbu region. Spring and autumn are the best seasons to trek.

Everest Gokyo Ri Trek

We did Everest Gokyo Ri Trek with BC in 2012. Our guide Ganesh was friendly and fun loving, while taking care of every detail with professionalism and experience. At every lodge he made sure we had everything we needed. Our porter was also fantastic. We enjoyed every minute with our guide Hari and porter Neema. I will definitely return to Nepal to do Annapurna Circuit trek and will definitely book with the Dream Heaven Adventure.
We enjoyed our trek with a great experience which will never forget and would recommend to anyone!
